What’s happening at the meeting?

We have about four months before precinct caucuses, and in SD59, that means that we must host 25 separate neighborhood meetings, one for each of our precincts. It’s a pretty large task, and with redistricting bearing down on us as well, we’re going to need your help to make the process go smoothly. Therefore, the primary topic at this month’s meeting will be nailing down details for our 2012 precinct caucuses. If you’re interested in party organizing at it’s most basic level, you won’t want to miss our October meeting.

Other party business will be entertained, as will nominations for new Directors to serve on our Executive Committee.

It would be great if every Precinct (1-1 through 1-10, 2-3 through 2-11, and 3-1 through 3-6) were represented at this meeting. If the Precinct Chair cannot attend, we are asking them to persuade at least one of the Associate Chairs, or a Strong Democrat in their Precinct, to attend. If you are unable to attend, please send your regrets to Harrison.Nelson@comcast.net

To request disability related accommodations or transportation assistance, please contact SD59 DFL Chair Harrison Nelson at Harrison.Nelson@comcast.net, or call 612-378-5377 (it would be helpful if you could request assistance as soon as possible).
