Senate District 59 DFL

Every two years at our Senate District Convention, delegates elect five Senate District officers to lead the District’s DFL unit. All officers serve on the Senate District’s Executive and Central committees, and the Chair and Associate Chair also serve on the CD5 and State Central Committees. All officers must reside in the district; if an officer moves, a vacancy is declared at a Central Committee meeting, and an election for a replacement officer is held at the following Central Committee meeting.

In addition to our officers, there are several Directors who serve on our Executive and Central Committees, 25 Precinct Chairs and 50 Precinct Associate Chairs who serve on our Central Committee, and several State Central Committee members who live in SD59 who also serve on our Central Committee.
